Photostory: China's Wild West

I watched a photostory named "China's Wild West" online. The narrator is an American, and he talks about some places in west China which are very poor. He mentions two important people who are taiwanese, and transform some hi-tech to the poor district. They have a plan named West China Story, which ia s quiet tough project to make west China reacher.

This photostory has lots of pictures, and the narrator's words are very clear. In a word, it's a good photostory. You can really see the condition of west China. 18 students live in a same dormitory. They have no Internet, etc. Every picture is vivid.

In my opinion, there are a big gap in different cities. For example, Beijing can hold an Olympic Games, but in some part of China, Internet is a luxury thing. We really need to solve this problem as soon as possible.

Human Deaths from Animal Diseases on the Rise

I read an article named "Human Deaths from Animal Diseases on the Rise" online. According to this article, 50 million people caught diseases from animals from 2000 to 2005, and 78,000 of them died. It means more and more people's health are effected by animals...

The article also points out that some diseases such as bird flu not only can transmit from animals but also from human to human. So, scientists and doctors are trying to find some ways to deal with the problem. Vaccine is a good way to avoid it.

From my view, animals are good friends to human. Lots of people have pets in their home. We have to care about diseases from animals in order to be healthy.

Health research:Deadly New Virus Thought to Be Contained

In this week, I found a news from The York Times online named "Deadly New Virus Thought to be Contained". It mentions that a new kind of virus was discovered in South Africa, which can cause a serious fever and finally dead. Four people were killed by this unaccureable disease. The news also points out that this kind of virus was first found in animals, just like SARS, but we don't know how the first person was infected.

From my point of view, the government in South Africa must solve this problem as soon as possible, and prevent effecting to other places. I still can remember the situation in SARS, 2003. It was very terrible, and I hope this kind of things will not happen again.

Obama's grandmother dies of cancer in Hawaii

I read an article named "Obama's grandmother dies of cancer in Hawaii" in Yahoo News this week. It is related health toipc.

In the article, the author says that the Democratic U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama's grandmother died in Hawaii because of a cancer. He also points out that his grandmother helped him a lot in his whole life, and it was very pity that she died before the final eletion day.

From my point of view, it was a absolutely bad news for Obama, especially before the election day. so, protecting our bodies is really important. We cannot predict what will hapen in next second.
